Since I'm invested in my DK I'm not as present on my markets.

I log in on my banker to snatch whatever item I'm folowing which is below market price. I craft a couple of enchants, post them, delog, do the same on my JC and I'm gone.

This causes me to sell less (yay undercutters) but I'm definitely building a stock of cheap items that will sell well on the week ends.

So my daily cash flow is down but my stocks are up.

Some items I store : Cheap eternal shadow (bullets on the market soon), cheap eternal earth, cheap gems (below 140g epic) and cheap netherweave cloth

Hoping to make killing on saturday :)

Little break from Ah farming

I'm sitting on 140k but I will take a step back from the AH in the weeks to come.
No I'm not bored by it (and will most likely keep glyphs market rolling) but I have decided to give a try to the undergeared project from Gevlon.

What that means is, what time I have to play will be to level up my DK on the Arathor server. I'm hoping to be able to get him up to level 80 before X-mas. Giving me 2 weeks should be enough.

The upside is I won't have to stuff him too much since the aim of the project is to run HL content with blue items.

Race was easy since I want to turn him into anunholy DK.

Several plus sides :
Added expertise on Axe
Pets do more damage
Racial DPS trinket

Let's hope I can bring myself to level 80 not to miss the first raid (guess it will depend on the number of tranfers that happen on Saturday)

Small update on status so far

Did a little review of my toons.

Status so far is 126k

My inscriptionist is bringing in roughly 1K/day. It is not all profit but it is safe to say that I'm living off a 500g investment so the return has been great. He is listing once a day for 24hrs... I suspect most of the sales are done in the first hours. Changes brought in the patch look like it will be hard to cancell in one click. When that happens I'll switch to Gevlon's strat and post in 48hrs cycle. I'm not anymore in a position where I need the cash from inscription right away so if it takes me 2 weeks to bring the cash flow back I don't really care.

My tailor/enchanter has also been selling lots of enchants lately. The patch brought some fresh blood to the AH so I need to keep producing more.

Finaly my JC/BS business is still going strong. unsurprinzingly he has the more brut sales but margins are a bit lower than in other fields.

As you can see, I'm covering lots of market. I'm upping my Shaman now which I hope to turn into a Alchi to cover the flask market (tbh I have someone craft my flaks already but if I can skip the middle man it would be even sweeter )

So 126K, a little lesss than 90k to go. If I don't slack it can be done before new year :)

Patch Day / No play

The above saying holds true on any patch day. I'm a heavy addon user and there is just no way for all of them to be ready once patch hits.

I still managed to get the business going and I'm quite happy with the results sor far. Gems and belt buckle were selling like pancakes. Did not sell a whole lot of enchantment scrolls though. I keep getting undercutted on those lately and I just can't bothered with the constant AH monitoring.

Saronite ore made a nice profit too. I have sold several stacks of 8 for about 25g. Not the rush I was expecting but still turned out a nice profit (and whatever I have left can still be posted this week end or used in craft so I don't really care).

Borean leather sold for about 19g a stack (bought at 6 to 7g over the course of a month). I'll keep posting them untill sunday. Whatever is left will be crafted and DE to make some room in my bank.

Bank roll today sits at 119k. Mats worth in bank around 7k.

On a side note, Dalaran parchement vendors now sells book recipes for about 3G. I hope you have gotten rid of your books before this because it will be hard to find a buyer (I did however buy a couple of extra scrolls and listed them on the AH... will let you know if they sell).

Getting ready for the patch

I have been stocking up for patch day and I can't wait for it to hit the stores (and the AH in particular).

Nothing fancy in store. Just a bunch of saronite bars to be sold in stacks of 8 and lots and lots of borean leather (bought at 6G a stack over the course of a month). I'm hoping both to be big on patch day with the new trade up available for artic furs and the removal of the cd on the titanium bars transmute.

I have alose been stocking up on epic gems. I'm expecting tanks to need a bunch of Regal dreadstone and Solid Zircon. I'm trying hard not to over sell them in the next couple of days.

Cash is now 113K.

From average to confortable

I have started playing wow in the summer of 2006.
Since then I have been doing lots of things in the game. I have been doing lots of BG's at first. Then got hooked on rerolling (got 7 toons up to 70 at BC, 4 of them have made it to 80) and finally got involved in end-game PVE.

One thing remained constant throughout those almost 4 years... I have always been broke.

No matter what I did It seemed I was burning though my cash faster that I could earn it... and by earning it I mean that I used to do what 95% of the wow population is doing... I farmed.

I have farmed dailies, plants, ore, artic furs, you name it I have farmed it.

My farming was mainly used for 2 things : reach the cap to where I could buy the epic mount on my favorite toon of the moment, and to be able to pay my repairs, then enchanting mats and gems for my stuff. Consumables were not an issue since I was saving enough herbs to craft my own flasks.

By doing this I managed to keep a 3 to 4k on my main to be able to be prepared on the next raid should I be lucky enough to get a new piece of stuff.

I used to be your average farmer but then it all changed... I have turned into a goblin...

I am now sitting on roughle 105K, about 4K in mats in my bank and pretty much 5k in potential auction at the ah...

I'm starting this blog for 2 reasons... to show you than an average joe can make something to turn tables and start making money in this game and to keep track on my progression towards the gold cap.

There are plenty of good wow economic blogs out there... but they are all in English.
I'll try to keep this one updated in both French and English for the EU-fr players that want to start making some gold :)
